Black Dollar Days

  • June 01, 2024
  • June 29, 2024

In the month of June, as part of “Black Dollar Days,” AKAs across the country have been challenged to spend at least $19.08 with Black-Owned businesses. This is part of the Build Our Economic Wealth initiative, which in part seeks to leverage our collective buying power to funnel revenue to Black-Owned businesses and brands.

We’re also asking you to take photos while you’re patronizing these businesses during the month and post them on social media. Tag Zeta Beta Omega chapter, the business, and include some hashtags! #BlackDollarDays #BuildEconomicWealth #BuyBlack #FlintAKAs. We want to drive dollars and interest to these businesses within our community.

The designated categories per week are:

  1. Week One: Restaurants
    1. Indulge in the mouth-watering flavors of Black-Owned eateries and savor every delicious bite!
    2. On Thursday, June 6th at 12:30 PM join Zeta Beta Omega sisters at Flint Farmer’s Market where we’ll patronize the Black-Owned businesses in the market.  Can’t make it? No worries. Take advantage of any of the Black-Owned restaurants in the area!
